Ms. Tasneem. A. Motiwala

Ms. Tasneem A Motiwala is a Speech & Language Pathologist in the ENT Department at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) followed by an M.Sc in Speech Language Pathology from the TN Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, both located in Mumbai, India. She has done several courses like Basic Indian Sign Language Course, Breastfeeding and Infant & Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) and the Langmore Foundation FEES Course. Ms. Tasneem is also certified in several advanced clinical courses including FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing), Video-Fluoroscopy in Deglutology, VitalStim + therapy for swallowing rehabilitation, PIOMI (Premature Infant Oral Motor Intervention), Post-Laryngectomy rehabilitation, and more. She is a member of the Rehabilitation Council of India and the Indian Speech and Hearing Association - Maharashtra Branch (MISHA).

In the early days of her career, she worked as a Speech-Language & Swallowing Pathologist at multiple renowed clinics and hospitals, all in Mumbai, India. Later, she became an Assistant Professor in the Audiology & Speech Therapy Department at Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, India. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE.

Ms. Tasneem's expertise encompasses the entire process of assessing, diagnosing and providing therapeutic management for individuals with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders. She is proficient in treating delayed speech and language due to hearing impairment, specific language impairment, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate, ADHD, learning disabilities, genetic syndromes, and epilepsy. She provides intervention for speech sound disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders (stuttering and cluttering), adult language disorders (aphasia), cognitive-communication disorders (dementia), dysarthria (developmental and acquired) and apraxia of speech. She is also an expert in the assessment and management of paediatric and adult feeding and swallowing disorders, and offers specialized speech and swallowing rehabilitation for patients following head and neck cancer treatment.
