Dr. Mahroofa Ettuveettil

Dr. Mahroofa Ettuveettil is a highly skilled specialist in pulmonary medicine at Medcare Hospitals . She holds an MBBS and MD in Pulmonology from the Government Medical College in Calicut, India, along with a Diplomate from the National Board (DNB) in Pulmonology. She further qualified herself with a European Degree in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDARM) from the European Respiratory Society. Dr. Ettuveettil is a member of the Academy of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care (APCCM), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the Indian Chest Society (ICS).

Dr. Ettuveettil has rich experience in her chosen field, having served at renowned hospitals in India before relocating to the UAE. She was a Senior Resident in Pulmonology at the Government Medical College in Majeri and an Assistant Professor at Malabar Medical College in Calicut, both situated in Kerala, India. Subsequently, she worked as a Consultant in Pulmonology at Aster Mother Hospital in Areekode, India, before joining Medcare. 

Dr. Ettuveettil is a skilled specialist in pulmonary medicine, dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory conditions, such as allergy and asthma, smoking-related diseases, lung malignancies, and lung infections like TB and Pneumonia, bronchitis, lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, and performing bronchoscopies for various lung diseases. She combines cutting-edge medical knowledge with compassionate patient care when managing complex cases of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease and sleep disorders. She utilizes personalized treatment plans, advanced diagnostic techniques, and the latest therapeutic interventions when it comes to improving her patients’ lung health. 

In her spare time, Dr. Ettuveettil enjoys playing Badminton, reading, and listening to music. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Malayalam.
