Dr. Laila Mahmoud

Dr. Laila Adel Mahmoud specialises in adult psychiatry and is also an expert in the fields of general, community, emergency, addiction, and child psychiatry.

With an MD in Neuropsychiatry from Ain Shams University, Egypt and over 12 years of work experience, Dr Mahmoud is eminently qualified to treat a variety of psychiatric conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, panic and phobic disorders, schizophrenia, psychoses, depression and dysthymia, mania and cyclothymia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, organic mental disorders, and brain diseases with behaviour deviations.

The lines of treatment administered by Dr. Mahmoud encompass pharmacotherapy, psychosocial interventions and behaviour therapy. She is an expert at handling specific needs such as specialized pharmacotherapy for difficult-to-treat patients, patients who don’t respond to standard treatment, coexisting somatic diseases, women during pregnancy, patients needing long term treatment or geriatric patients.
