Dr. Rabab Mahdi Hilmy

Dr. Rabab Mehdi Hilmy is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. She completed her MBChB at Mosul University, then her Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) at Al Mustanseria University, both in Iraq. Additionally, she is certified from the Arab Board of Medical Specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CABGO). She is a member of the Iraqi Family Planning Society, the Iraqi Fertility Society and the Iraqi Society for Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

In the early stages of her career, Dr. Hilmy did SHO rotations at Mosul General Hospital and was the SHO Registrar at Al Mosul Teaching Hospital in Iraq. She held a teaching position at Al Mustanseria Medical School and Al Kindy Medical School and was a Registrar & Senior Registrar at Al Yarmouk Maternity Teaching Hospital. Later, she taught at Tikrit Medical School while serving as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Samara Hospital. She was a Specialist at Al Elwiya Maternity Teaching Hospital in Iraq. After relocating to the UAE, she joined the NMC Healthcare group.

With over four decades of experience in managing a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions, Dr. Hilmy treats high-risk pregnancies, infertility, recurrent miscarriages, hormonal disorders, and minimally invasive and laparoscopic gynaecological procedures. She is proficient in infertility management and IVF, recurrent miscarriages, premature labour management, PCOS and hormonal disorders, fibroid surgery and hysterectomy.

She speaks Arabic and English.
