Dr. Sameh Ali

Dr. Sameh Ali is a Specialist in Paediatrics and Neonatology at Medcare Hospital-Sharjah. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, followed by a Postgraduate Specialisation in Paediatrics from the Lviv State Medical Institute in Ukraine. Additionally, he is a PhD candidate of Medical Science in Paediatrics at Bogomolets National Medical University, Ukraine. He holds clinical Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, and a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification. He has undergone training at Harvard Medical School and Lviv Regional Clinic Hospital.

Dr. Ali has almost three decades of clinical experience in managing neonatal and paediatric conditions. He has worked across leading healthcare institutions in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, gaining extensive experience in neonatal care and paediatric medicine. He worked at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and the  Haifa Hospital in Lebanon. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE, where he worked with the National Medical Centre and the Aala Paediatric Clinic. Most recently, he was a Specialist Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Um Al Quwain Hospital before joining NMC Royal Hospital in Sharjah, UAE. He is known for his patient-centred approach and commitment to delivering high-quality care to newborns and children.

Dr. Ali provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents, focusing on preventive healthcare, accurate diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment and has extensive experience working privately to treat babies suffering from complex congenital heart disease. He manages neonatal conditions, childhood infections, gastrointestinal disorders in children, respiratory illnesses, allergies, and growth-related concerns. His expertise encompasses neonatal care and routine newborn assessment, the management of premature and high-risk newborns, neonatal jaundice, childhood respiratory conditions, including asthma, wheezing, pneumonia, bronchiolitis and allergic conditions like eczema and allergic rhinitis. He also provides guidance on nutrition, development monitoring, and preventive paediatric care, including vaccinations.
