About
Dr. M Zakaria Amana is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Medcare Hospital- Sharjah. He completed his MBBCh and MD from Aleppo city and obtained a Certificate of Specialization from the Ministry of Health Damascus in Syria. He is a member of the Syrian Orthopaedic Association and the Syrian Medical Association.
Dr. Amana possesses rich experience in the field of Orthopaedics and has served with several prestigious hospitals both in Syria and the UAE. He initially worked with the Ministry of Health in Damascus as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and then at Al Razi Hospital for more than two decades, in various positions until he moved to UAE. He has since, spent several years as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Al Dhaid Hospital and the Central Private Hospital in Sharjah. His area of expertise covers a range of surgeries related to our musculoskeletal systems like hand, ankle, shoulder and spine, and total hip and knee replacement. He is extremely proficient in arthroscopy of the knee joint, limb fractures, recurrent dislocation of shoulder joints, traumatology and paediatric surgery.
