Dr. Sharmila Tulpule

Dr. Sharmila Tulpule is a Specialist in Regenerative Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery at Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital. She is an MBBS and an MS in Orthopaedics from Nagpur, India. She has a Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) degree in Orthopaedics from the American Institute of Medicine, Seychelles. Additionally, she is a Diplomate of Regenerative Medicine (DABRM) and a Fellow in Regenerative Medicine (FABRM) from the USA. 

Dr. Tulpule is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon and an expert in Regenerative Medicine and Orthobiologics. She has spent over three decades working across India and the UAE. In the early days of her career, when she moved to the UAE from India, she started working as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon first at the Zulekha Hospital, then the NMC Speciality Hospital and the Nice Care Medical Center, all in Dubai. She then moved to India to lay the foundation of Orthobiologix Biotech Private Limited and Orthobiologix Clinic in Mumbai, which is the first Regenerative Medicine Centre in India affiliated with the American Board of Regenerative Medicine for Board Certification and Diplomat courses. Subsequently, she returned to the UAE and serves as an attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at Saudi German Hospital, Dubai, at HBGMC, DHCC, Dubai, a prominent Rheumatology and Orthopaedic treatment centre and at Mubadala Hospital. 

 Dr. Tulpule’s skills and expertise cover the entire gamut of the latest regenerative medicine and stem cell therapies for orthopaedics and arthroscopic surgeries, especially the knee, emergency orthopaedics, healthcare, sports medicine, and furthering medical education. She competently performs arthroscopic surgeries of the knee, arthritic evaluation, Goldic treatment, stem cell treatment, PRP, administers therapeutic injections, and practises sports medicine. She treats musculoskeletal pains, chronic low back pain, all sprains and strains, orthopaedic trauma, joint pathologies, shoulder and ankle injuries, tendon and ligament injuries, sports Injuries, meniscus injuries and osteoporosis.

Dr. Tulpule is involved in clinical studies and frequently lectures on musculoskeletal regenerative medicine. Her contributions to publications and book chapters on biological treatments are immense. Her passion and dedication to her work spill over into her interests in art, adventure sports, and yoga. She speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam and Urdu
