Dr. Raymond George

Dr. Raymond George is a Consultant in Maternal and Foetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. After completing his MBBS, he pursued an MD (Physician) at Rostov State Medical University in the Russian Federation. He also holds a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Centre for Infertility Management and Assisted Reproduction (CIMAR) in Edappal, India, recognised for its outstanding fertility treatments. He then pursued a Fellowship in Maternal and Foetal Medicine (FNB) at Fernandez Hospital in Hyderabad, a premier institute known for its excellence in managing complex and high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. George began his career as a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the prestigious Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, India. Later, he joined Rajagiri Hospital in Kerala as a Junior Consultant in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Maternal & Foetal Medicine Unit and was subsequently promoted to Senior Consultant, reflecting his clinical expertise and leadership capabilities. He also worked for MatCare (Indira IVF), India’s largest chain of infertility hospitals, where he served as the National Clinical Head – Obstetrics & Gynaecology. While this leadership role provided him with a broader administrative and strategic perspective, it further reaffirmed his passion for direct patient care and hands-on clinical practice. 

Dr. George’s expertise includes foetal growth restriction, complex congenital heart diseases of the foetus, posterior fossa anomalies of the foetus, spinal dysraphism of the foetus, urinary tract dilatation of the foetus, abdominal wall defects of the foetus, skeletal dysplasia, genetic syndromes of the foetus, common Aneuploidy screening (like Down's syndrome) and Placenta Acreeta Spectrum (PAS). He is focused on advancing maternal and foetal care by establishing Centres of Excellence in high-risk pregnancy and perinatology. His long-term vision is to create integrated, high-quality care hubs that offer comprehensive management from conception through delivery, driven by evidence-based protocols and compassionate care.

He speaks Malayalam, Hindi, English and Russian.
