Dr. Mohamed Almoataz

Dr. Mohamed Almoataz is a Specialist in Neurology at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his MD and PhD in Neurology from the Ain Shams University, Egypt as well as a 

PhD in Neuroscience also from Ain Shams University, Egypt. He holds a Fellowship in the Vascular Neurology Residency Programme from the European Board of Neurology (FEBN), as well as one from the World Headache Society.

Dr. Almoataz has worked across Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the UAE, garnering rich experience in the field of Neurology. He began his career as a Resident Specialist in Health Insurance at Al Jizah in Egypt. Then he served as a Neurologist at the University Hospital and the KASR El Ainy Teaching Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. He also worked as a Specialist in Neurology and a Strokologist at Wadi Elnil Hospital, and the coordinator of the National Committee of MS in HIO in Egypt. He later became a Neurology Assistant Consultant at King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, KSA. Subsequently, relocated to the UAE, where he became the Head of Department of Neurology at the Saudi German Hospital,  Sharjah and a lecturer of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine at Ajman University.

Dr. Almoataz is an expert in treating headaches, pain management, multiple sclerosis, stroke

movement disorders, peripheral nerve diseases, epilepsy, dementia, vertigo and balance, and spinal cord and disc diseases.

He speaks Arabic and English fluently.
