Dr. Chaitanya is a highly trained hand and microsurgeon with an international background spanning India, Japan, and the UAE. He completed his MBBS and MS Orthopaedics in Bangalore , followed by a prestigious Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Christian Medical College, India, and Ogori Hospital, Japan. He also holds a European Board Diploma in Hand Surgery.

 

Before joining Medcare, Dr. Chaitanya spent years at Rashid Hospital — Dubai's leading trauma centre — managing some of the most complex hand, nerve, and reconstructive cases in the region at consultant level . Today, he brings that same calm expertise to every patient, whether they come in with a sports injury, fracture or a chronic condition like carpal tunnel or arthritis.

 

He specialises in everything Orthopedic Hand &Wrist surgery from fractures and tendon repairs to wrist arthroscopy and microsurgical reconstruction. But what truly sets him apart is his philosophy: surgery is the last resort, not the first. He always explores conservative treatments first and works closely with hand therapists to ensure the best recovery — without rushing.

 

Outside the hospital, Dr. Chaitanya stays active through off-roading, hiking, cycling, and weight training — so he truly understands how important functional hands are to an active lifestyle. He consults fluently in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Urdu.
