Dr. Nourshan Janoudi

 Dr. Nourshan Janoudi is a Specialist Gastroenterologist at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. She completed her MBBS from Tishreen University, Syria, followed by an MD specialisation in Gastroenterology from the Syrian Board of Gastroenterology. She also holds a Fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy from Aryavrat Hospital, India. She is a member of the Emirates Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society.

 Dr. Janoudi began her career as an Internal Medicine doctor at Al Noor Specialist Hospital in Latakia, Syria. Later, she joined Tishreen University Hospital as a Gastrointestinal Medicine Resident and then moved to the UAE. She spent some time at HMS Mirdif Hospital as a Gastroenterologist before joining Medcare.

Dr. Janoudi is dedicated to promoting digestive health through comprehensive evidence-based care. With broad experience in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal and liver conditions, she specialises in both upper and lower endoscopic procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. She performs both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, upper and lower GI endoscopy, including EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL), polypectomy, GI stricture dilatation, PEG tube placement and GI stent insertion. She does liver biopsy and paracentesis, treats hepatobiliary disorders, liver diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding and is proficient in emergency and critical GI care. She treats GERD (acid reflux), gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), fatty liver disease, cirrhosis and portal hypertension, oesophagitis, dyspepsia, haemorrhoids, anal fissures, chronic constipation and diarrhoea, colorectal cancer screening, pancreatitis and evaluation of biliary disorders.

During her spare time, she likes educating her patients and counselling them on lifestyle management. She speaks Arabic and English.
