Dr. Mohamed Nada

Dr. Mohamed Nada is a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology at Medcare Hospital – Sharjah. He obtained his MBBS from Cairo University in Egypt followed by Certifications from the German Board of Internal Medicine and of Gastroenterology from Muenster in Germany. His pursuit of knowledge led him to complete his Doctorate from the University of Essen and a Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA), from FAU Erlangen-Nuernberg, both in Germany.

His accomplishments include an accreditation (Level I specialist) in the field of Internal Medicine Ultrasound from The German Society of  Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) in Berlin, Germany. He has also completed accreditations in Gastroenterological Infections, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and  Hepatology from the German Society of Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) in  Berlin, Germany.

Dr. Nada is a member of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS), the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) and the European Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His career as a gastroenterologist/advanced endoscopist spans more than a decade and includes positions like Senior Consultant in teaching hospitals as well as a stint with Al Zahra Hospital in Sharjah. He has performed more than 7,000 endoscopic procedures and his special interests include early diagnosis and endoscopic treatment of early-stage cancers in the oesophagus, stomach, pancreas and large intestine (colon), the diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumours and lymphomas, biopsy/FNAC of large lymph nodes in the chest (mediastinum) and abdomen and undiagnosed cases of pancreatitis diseases.

His area of expertise covers the endoscopic removal of polyps in the stomach, duodenum and colon, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic full-thickness resection device (FTRD) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He has successfully treated patients with acute bleeding, bile duct obstruction and issues with the oesophagus, pylorus, pancreas and colon, jaundice, diarrhea and liver cirrhosis. He uses the latest techniques available for stone removal in the bile duct/cystic duct/pancreatic duct, removal of benign tumours of Papilla, cyst drainage, walled-off pancreatic necrosis drainage (simple and Hot Axios),  bile duct and pancreatic duct drainage. He has conducted Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), biopsy/FNAC of tumours, Cholangioscopy, liver biopsy, metallic stent placement, capsule endoscopy of small intestine, double balloon of small intestine, contrast-enhanced ultrasound of the Liver (CEUS),  Botox Injection in the sphincter of oesophagus and pylorus and  Ph-Metry and Manometry.
