Dr. Imad Ali

Dr. Imad Ali is a Consultant in Gastroenterology at Medcare Hospital. He completed his MBBS at An Najah National University in Palestine. He has been certified by the German Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Munster, Germany, and by the European Board in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has DGVS accreditations in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases from Cologne, in Liver Diseases from Berlin, in Gastrointestinal Infectious Diseases from Berlin and in Nutrition in Gastroenterology from Berlin, all in Germany.  Dr. Ali is a member of the German Society for Gastroenterology, the Society for Gastroenterology in North Rhine-Westphalia, the European Society of Hepatology and the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), UK.

Dr. Ali’s career spans a decade in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of digestive, liver, and pancreatic diseases. He spent the majority of his career in Germany, first as a Consultant at the Catholic Carl Leisner Clinic and later at Muelenkreiskliniken, where he was both a Fellow and Consultant. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE to join Medcare as a Consultant in Gastroenterology. 

Dr. Ali proficiently treats patients with conditions such as acid reflux (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), viral hepatitis, liver diseases, including hepatitis, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), liver cirrhosis and its complications, as well as acute and chronic pancreatitis and gastrointestinal infections. He is an advanced endoscopist and has performed more than 8,000 endoscopic procedures, using minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat complex gastrointestinal conditions. He manages gastrointestinal bleeding, EMR, ESD, eFTR, therapeutic ERCP for biliary and pancreatic diseases, diagnostic and therapeutic EUS, including FNA/FNP, pseudocyst drainage, pancreatic necrosectomy, enterogastrostomy and treats functional and motility disorders of the GI-Tract.

In his spare time, he likes to keep fit through riding and playing table tennis. He also enjoys reading. He speaks Arabic, English and German.
