Ms. Amira Gataa

Ms. Amira Gataa is a skilled Podiatrist, currently working at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Podiatry at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Techniques of Sousse and a professional Master's Degree (MSc) in Sports Medicine from Ibn El Jazzar Faculty of Medicine, both in Tunisia. 

With a passion for foot health and patient care, Ms. Gataa carries a wealth of knowledge and expertise. She has a decade of experience in musculoskeletal and diabetes management of the lower limbs. She began her professional career in Tunisia, working as a Podiatrist at the Podiatry Clinic. Later, she moved to the UAE, serving first at the Burjeel Medical City and then at the Emirates Podiatry Centre, both in Abu Dhabi.  

Ms. Gataa is extremely dedicated and gives her best care, whether it’s a minor foot issue or a complex condition. She is an expert in assessing and evaluating mechanical foot problems and gait, as well as understanding the underlying systemic and local disease factors that manifest in the feet. She is skilled in specific care such as wart treatment, ingrown nail therapy, treatment of corns, calluses, heel pain, bunions, hammer toes, eczema and psoriasis. While treating patients for diabetic foot care, she advises them on specific shoes to wear and educates them. She provides consultation for gait examination and biomechanics assessment for children, sports persons and elderly people in order to craft custom-made insoles or orthotics to fit the patient's shoes. She also treats foot pain, flat feet, neurological foot, short Achilles tendon, sport-related injuries and provides wound care.

She speaks Arabic, English and French.
