Ms. Heba Ahmed Khedr

Ms. Heba Ahmed Khedr is a Physiotherapist at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from Misr University for Science and Technology and her Master’s Degree of Physiotherapy in Women's Health (MPT) from Cairo University, Egypt. She also holds an Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Certificate (OMTC) and a Certification in Physiotherapy Management of Spinal Cord Injuries.

Ms. Khedr commenced her career with the Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt and continued working there for a decade. She garnered rich experience working with patients having various conditions, including neurological, neuromusculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions. She briefly worked as a part-time Physiotherapist at El Fayoumy Private Hospital in Cairo. Subsequently, she moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to work as a Physiotherapist at the Abtal Almarefa Centre in Riyadh and then to the UAE as a Physiotherapist with Berlin Healthcare in Al Rashidiyah in Dubai.

Her expertise ranges from manual therapy, spinal mobilization and manipulation to dry cupping and dry needling. Ms. Khedr’s strength lies in liaising with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, consultants, occupational therapists, and social workers, to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention. She treats various orthopaedic and sports conditions, including acute or chronic such as low back pain and treats mechanical and non-mechanical conditions with different modalities such as manual therapy technique, therapeutic exercises and myofascial release. She performs joint mobilization and helps relieve cervical and shoulder pain, osteoarthritis, tendinitis, and paediatric cases such as C.P., Down Syndrome, torticollis and Erb’s palsy. She also manages neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation as ACL injuries, women's health-related issues like rectus diastasis, stress urinary incontinence, prolapse and different problems during pregnancy. She believes in keeping herself updated with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.

She enjoys reading books on various topics, listening to music and spending time with family during her spare time. She likes to keep fit through swimming and speaks Arabic and English.
