Dr. Alexandre Machado

Dr. Alexandre Machado is a Senior Clinical Neuro-psychologist and advanced neuromodulation (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Specialist at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. He completed his BSc in Clinical Psychology at King’s College London and the Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon, a Master’s in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Catholic University of Portugal, where he is also a PhD in Cognitive and Language Sciences. He also has a BSc in Military Applied Psychology through ISAF/NATO. Additionally, he holds several post-graduate Diplomas in 

Psychopharmacology from the UK, Advanced Neuroimaging and EEG from the UK, Neurodevelopmental Disorders from Spain and Cognitive Assessment & Rehabilitation, Austria. He holds the European Certified Psychologist (EuroPsy) credentials and is a Certified Specialist in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, EU and in Neurofeedback & Biofeedback from Holland.

Having studied and practised across the UK, Portugal, and Italy, Dr. Machado brings a multicultural perspective to his clinical practice. He has over three decades of experience in Europe's leading healthcare systems, including the private and national health services of the UK and Portugal. He is the President of the Emirates Neuropsychology Society (ENS) and UAE Representative for the International Neuropsychological Society (INS). He is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the British Neuropsychological Society (BNS), the Portuguese Order of Psychologists (OPP), the European Neuropsychology Federation (FESNP) and the European Union of Medical Specialists (EUMS).
