Dr. Rahul J Bhatt

Dr. Rahul J Bhatt is a Specialist in Urology at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS and MS (Surgery) from Dr S.N. Medical College in Jodhpur, India. Additionally, he is a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Urology from Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad, India. He is a member of the Urological Society of India (USI), the American Urological Association (AUA) and the European Association of Urology (EAU).

Dr. Bhatt commenced his illustrious career as a Senior Resident in Surgery at the Asopa Hospital in Agra, India. He worked at Muljibhai Patel Urology Institute and several private urological clinics before joining Trinity Hospital, Jodhpur, India, as a Consultant Urologist. He then worked as a freelance Urologist for a bit and then joined GBH American Hospital in Udaipur, India as a Consultant Urologist, followed by a stint at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital in a similar position. He later joined Geetanjali Medical College, Udaipur, as an Associate Professor in General Surgery, a Consultant Urologist at Shreejee Urology & Laproscopy Hospital, Udaipur and a Clinical Assistant in Uro-oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi, India. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE as a Specialist Urologist at Aster – DM Healthcare, Dubai.

Dr. Bhatt has immense experience in performing urological operations like circumcision, urethral dilatation, vasectomy, varicocelectomy, cystoscopy, hydrocelectomy, suprapubic cystostomy, suprapubic cystolithotomy, diverticulectomy, ureteric reimplantation, ureter lithotomy, pyelolithotomy, simple nephrectomy, radical surgeries like nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy, radical cystectomy, radical prostatectomy, high orchidectomy, partial and total penectomy, Pyeloplasty, donor nephrectomy and transplant bed preparation, orchiopexy, orchiectomy, urethroplasty and AV Fistula formation. He has also performed many endourological procedures, percutaneous nephrostomy, optical urethrotomy, ureteric-catheterisation, ureteric stenting, perurethral and suprapubic cystolithotrity, cystolitholapaxy, cystoscopic fulguration, PU VALVE fulguration TUR-P, TUR-BT, percutaneous nephrolithotomy and uretro-renoscopy. He treats adults and paediatrics for urethral strictures, prostate, stones, bladder/prostate cancer, varicocele and performs uroflowmetry, ultrasound, prostate biopsy, testicular biopsy and bladder biopsy.

He enjoys watching rom-com sci-fi movies and stand-up comedies. He likes to keep fit through pursuits like horse riding, tennis, paddle tennis and flying light planes. He speaks fluent English and Hindi.
