Dr. Krishnamurthy Sairam

Dr. Krishnamurthy Sairam is a Consultant in the Department of Urology. With over two decades of clinical experience, he is much sought after in this field. He completed his MBBS from the University of Madras, India and thereafter completed his FRCSG from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. In his pursuit of knowledge, he trained extensively in surgery in the UK including higher surgical training in Urology at the London Deanery. He is an FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK, a FRCSGlag (Urology) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK and an FACS from the American College of Surgeons, USA, He holds a Diploma in Urology and a CCT in Urology in the United Kingdom.

During his higher surgical training, Dr. Sairam gained expertise in laparoscopic and robotic urological surgery and served as a consultant in the UK before relocating to India for a brief period. So, in addition to his work experience in the UK, he held the position of a Urology Tutor and Course Director of Laparoscopy in Urology at the Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education in India. He also served as a faculty on the Board of Education of the Urological Society of India. For many years now, he has been an adjunct clinical faculty at the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai. He served as a Consultant Urologist specialising in Urology and Lithotripsy at Clemenceau Medical Center and worked briefly at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital too. Dr. Sairam has published extensively, including peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, book chapters and editorials. He has also presented his work at several regional, national and international forums.

Dr. Sairam’s expertise covers the entire gamut of urological cancers, particularly of the prostate, bladder, kidneys and testis as well as laparoscopic and robotic surgery that includes nephrectomy, cystectomy, pyeloplasty, adrenalectomy and varicocelectomy. He is an expert in ureteroscopy, laser surgery for stones and ESWL (lithotripsy). He has successfully treated adrenal tumours, benign prostatic diseases, male sexual dysfunction, urinary tract stone disease and Urinary Tract Infections in both males and females.

He speaks English, Hindi and Tamil fluently.
