Dr. Charbel Medawar

Dr. Charbel Medawar is a Consultant in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Medcare Medical Centre, Jumeirah. After obtaining his basic medical education, he completed an MD and MSc from Saint Joseph’s University in Beirut, Lebanon. He has to his credit a Cosmetic Fellowship from the University of Montreal Canada, a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), Training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Montreal and a Craniomaxillofacial Fellowship from Dallas, in the USA. 

Dr. Medawar is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Lebanese Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has almost two decades of experience in plastic surgery having worked across Canada, USA, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He was the Head of the Plastic Surgery Division at the St Georges Hospital and Head of the Aesthetic clinic ‘Skin & Slim’ at Clemenceau Medical Center, both in Beirut. He also served as a Consultant at Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Riyadh. Before joining Medcare, he was the lead Plastic Surgeon and Consultant at the Saudi German Hospital in Dubai.

Dr. Medawar has subspecialized in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and  Body Sculpting using the latest innovative techniques such as the Vaser Laser Liposculpture and power-assisted liposuction. He is known for his expertise in natural-looking augmentation and lifting of the breasts. He specializes in Mommy Makeover, a cosmetic surgery procedure that restores the shape and appearance of a woman’s body after pregnancy and childbirth. It involves a combination of procedures such as breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction. He is proficient in Butt lift (BBL) with fat transfer and augmentation with implants, Tummy Tuck, blepharoplasty, Botox, Fillers, Rhinoplasty, Deep plane and SMAS facelifts and body lifts post-weight loss.

He is the author of several articles, presented papers and lectured at many international conferences in the USA, Canada and Europe. He speaks Arabic, English and French.
