Dr. Roba Safa Alkoko

Dr. Roba Safa Alkoko is a highly experienced Specialist in Paediatrics, currently working at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her medical degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria and her Master's degree in Paediatrics from the Aleppo University Hospital, Syria.

She has over two decades of experience in paediatric care, managing patients from the neonatal period to the teenage years. She has worked in renowned hospitals across Syria, the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia and the UAE, garnering rich experience in her field. Initially, she worked as a Specialist Paediatrician with the Al Assad Government Hospital in Syria, after which she joined the Maternity and Children Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Later, she relocated to the UAE, where she joined the Al Zahra Hospital and then the American Hospital and Clinics in Dubai.

Dr. Al Koko has a strong background in diagnosing and managing critical conditions in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and general paediatric cases. She is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions, including chest infections, bronchial asthma, allergies, and acute and chronic paediatric conditions. She is proficient in newborn care and follow-up, infant and child nutrition, growth and development assessment for newborns, infants, and children, gastrointestinal and feeding disorders and hypothyroidism. She does newborn and childhood immunization, including catch-up vaccination programmes, well-child visits for early detection of developmental and health disorders, annual health checkups and parental guidance, support, and counselling.  

Dr. Al Koko is known for her excellent diagnostic approach and confidence in treating all paediatric disorders and diseases. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and swimming. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
