Dr. Yamen Elmuganni

 

Dr. Yamen Elmuganni is a Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He has an Arab Board Certification in Paediatrics and Neonatology. He is a European Neonatal Life Support Instructor and a member of the Arab Board of Paediatrics (CABP) and the Emirates Paediatric and Neonatal Society. He also holds fellowships from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and the American Board of Paediatrics and Neonatology (FABPN). 

Dr. Elmuganni served as Head of the Department at Al Qassimi Hospital for Women and Children (EHS), providing critical care for neonates and children. He has been acknowledged and recognised for his services and received the Sharjah Medical District Best Physician Award. He served as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Sharjah University and Ajman Medical College, contributing to medical education and training and is a dedicated member of several key hospital committees. He actively participates in medical research and international conferences, continuously advancing his expertise in paediatric healthcare.

Dr Elmuganni has spent more than a decade in the care of general paediatrics and newborns, including care for pre-term, extreme pre-term, and low birthweight infants. He provides a comprehensive discharge plan for newborns and gives Basic Life Support training to parents upon discharge. He is proficient in treating special paediatric conditions, including chronic cough, asthma, allergies, atopic dermatitis, eczema, bowel dysfunction, and faltering growth. He identifies common paediatric and adolescent illnesses, plans and implements appropriate interventions, follows up on child health development, implements preventive health measures and manages child obesity based on the latest international guidelines and protocols.
