Dr. Aijas Moidu

Dr. Aijas Moidu is a Specialist Paediatrician at Medcare Hospital – Sharjah. He completed his MBBS at Pariyaram Medical College, affiliated with Kannur University, Kerala, India, and his Doctorate in Paediatrics (MD) from Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University. He also holds a Fellowship in Paediatric Intensive Care (PIC) from Dr. Mehta's Children's Hospital, Chennai, India. Furthermore, he holds certifications in BLS, PALS and NRP. He  is a member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics.

Dr. Moidu began his career as a Resident Medical Officer at the Community Health Centre in Valayam, Kerala, India and then joined the Department of Paediatrics at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry, India, as a Junior Resident. After completing his post-doctoral fellowship in Paediatric Intensive Care at Dr. Mehta's Children Hospital, Chennai, he started working as a Specialist Paediatrician at Starcare Hospital, Calicut, Kerala. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE to join Aster Hospitals as a Specialist Paediatrician.

Dr. Moidu’s expertise covers both paediatric outpatient and inpatient care. He proficiently manages neonatal emergencies in premature and high-risk newborns and uses advanced techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for these vulnerable infants. He manages ventilation, and all common paediatric and neonatal procedures, and treats allergies and asthma. He also manages immunisation services and growth and nutrition assessment. He specialises in addressing common paediatric concerns related to high-risk newborns, such as respiratory distress, prematurity, and congenital anomalies.

He speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
