Dr. Mohammad Wasim Ahmad

Dr. Mohammad Wasim Ahmad is a Specialist in the Paediatrics Department at Medcare Medical Centre - Al Barsha. He obtained an MBBS and DCH(Diploma in Child Health) from the Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, and later he completed his Master’s degree. Additionally, he is a European Board-Certified Pediatrician (EBP). Dr. Ahmad has completed training in Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), both certified by the American Heart Association. He is a member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) and has completed the part one and two exam for the Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), UK.

 

Dr. Ahmad has done the basic Paediatric and Neonatology training at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital (JNMCH), Aligarh. He served as a Paediatric Consultant at Mahavir Hospital in Patna. He then relocated to the UAE, spending more than a decade as a Paediatrician at NMC Specialty Hospital Dubai.  He practised as a Specialist Paediatrician at the Saudi German Hospital and then at Amina Hospital.

 

Dr. Ahmad is dedicated to provide high-quality healthcare for children. He is well-versed in managing a variety of conditions in paediatric, adolescent and neonatal patients. These are common and recurrent illnesses like eczema, allergies, urinary tract infections, diarrhoea, dehydration and other chest infections. He handles routine paediatric and neonatal care including newborn and post-natal checkups, feeding issues, growth monitoring and development assessment, dietary advice, holding well-baby clinics, and vaccination of newborns and children including the catchup and traveler's vaccination. He is skilled in paediatric emergencies and his commitment to the well-being of young patients makes him a valuable member of the department.

 

Dr. Ahmad speaks Arabic, English, Hindi and Urdu. He keeps himself abreast of the latest developments in his field by attending conferences and workshops.
