Dr. Maha Samy Soliman

Dr. Maha Samy Soliman is a Specialist in Paediatrics at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. She completed her MBBCh and then qualified as a Paediatrician by completing a Master's degree in Paediatrics, both at Menoufia University in Egypt. She also holds a Certification in Paediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Soliman commenced the journey of her medical career as a General Practitioner at Shebin Elkom Teaching Hospital in Egypt. She worked as a Paediatric Intensive Care Resident Physician at Nasser Institute PICU in Egypt and gained invaluable clinical experience at Al-Gam‘eya Al-Shar‘eya NICU and Al-Mowasah Islamic Hospital, both in Egypt. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE to join as a Paediatric Specialist, first at Al Zahra Hospital, followed by a stint at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Dr. Soliman’s expertise covers the entire gamut of paediatric illnesses and emergencies. She manages upper and lower respiratory tract conditions, gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, lactose intolerance, growth and development, vaccination and is skilled at dealing with paediatric emergencies, including status asthmatics, status epilepticus, convulsions, DKA, croup, stridor, and dehydration. With excellent experience in NICU and PICU, she effortlessly performs intubation, insertion of cannula, chest tube, chest cannula, UVC and central venous line (CVL), exchange transfusion, CPAP, mechanical ventilation and high frequency ventilation. Her little patients come to her to find relief from coughing, respiratory distress, croup, fever, allergic rhinitis, asthma, abdominal pain, distension, gastritis, vomiting, diarrhoea, urinary tract infections, jaundice, feeding problems, allergies and GERD.
