Dr. Joanne Khoury

Dr. Joanne Khoury is a Specialist in Paediatrics at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her BSc in Biology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, followed by an MD with a Specialty degree in Paediatrics from the University of Balamand, Lebanon.

 

She holds a Clinical Fellowship from Hopital Femme Mere Enfant in Lyon, France and is a member of the Lebanese Board of Physicians in Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She is also a member of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN). She holds certifications in PALS & BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) and in NRP from the American Academy of Paediatrics (AAP). 

 

Dr. Khoury began her medical career in Beirut as a Pediatric Resident at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, after which she underwent subspecialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Pediatric Nutrition at Hopital Femme Mere Enfant in Lyon, France. She then relocated to the UAE where she joined Clemenceau Medical Centre as a Specialist Paediatrician, before moving to Medcare in a similar position.

 

Dr. Khoury treats all acute and chronic paediatric conditions, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, acute tonsillitis, acute otitis media, asthma and allergies. She also treats acute and chronic paediatric gastrointestinal conditions like gastroesophageal reflux, constipation, milk intolerance and functional abdominal pain.  She manages paediatric growth and development, faltering weight and obesity, and provides comprehensive Infant, Paediatric and Adolescent care. She performs well-child visits and regular immunisations. 

 

She speaks English, Arabic and French.
