Dr. Basel Abu Abass

Dr. Basel Abu Abass is a skilled Otolaryngologist at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine at the University of Kalamoon in Syria and later obtained a Syrian Board Certification in Ear-Nose-Throat, Head and Neck Surgery. 

Dr. Abass believes in continuous training, and this, along with strong experience working at Government Hospitals in Syria, has stood him in good stead throughout his career. He served as an ENT specialist, working full-time in the Health Administration of Syria and consulting independently at Dr. Basel's ENT clinic. After half a decade of working in Syria, Dr. Abass moved to the UAE to join Medcare.

Dr. Abass treats conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. He manages everything from sinus infections and hearing loss to voice disorders and head-and-neck cancers. He has successfully treated otitis externa-media with effusion, septal deviation, turbinate hypertrophy, hoarseness due to laryngitis or vocal cord masses, salivary gland pathology, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, head and neck mass-lumps, vestibular neuritis, BPPV, and sleep apnoea due to soft palate or uvula pathology. He performs adenoidectomies and follows a preservative and surgical approach towards tonsil pathologies.

He speaks Arabic and English.
