Dr. Dhaval Sagala

Dr. Dhaval H. Sagala is a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS from the BJ Medical College, Pune, followed by a BS in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, India. Additionally, he has trained internationally, completing three post-doctoral fellowships, one in Knee Arthroscopy & Adult Joint Reconstruction at Sancheti Hospital, Pune, one in Shoulder & Elbow Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at Konkuk University, South Korea and another in Shoulder & Knee Arthroscopy at Singapore.

Dr. Sagala has almost two decades of clinical and surgical expertise in sports medicine,  trauma, and joint reconstruction across India and the UAE. He initially worked as a Visiting Consultant (Shoulder & Arthroscopy) at CIMS Hospital, Chetan Ortopaedic Hospital and Sterling Hospital in Ahmedabad. Later, he joined GCS Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Ahmedabad, India, as an Assistant Professor. Before relocating to the UAE, he worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon & Sports Medicine Specialist at Shalby Hospital, Ahmedabad, India. In the UAE, he has served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Belhoul Specialty Hospital, Valiant Healthcare, Medeor 24X7 Hospital and Burjeel Hospital.

Dr. Sagala’s expertise covers the entire gamut of orthopaedics, arthroscopy, and sports injury management. He proficiently treats shoulder Injuries, recurrent shoulder dislocation, rotator cuff tears, ACL and PCL injuries of the knees, Tennis Elbow, low back pain, neck pain and fractures of the hand. He performs surgical procedures to treat conditions, such as joint reconstruction, shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement. He also provides non-surgical treatments for osteoarthritis-related chronic knee pain.

He regularly conducts workshops and seminars to share his knowledge and expertise with the new generation. He speaks English, Gujarati and Hindi.
