Dr. Mohamed Ghanem

Dr. Mohamed Ghanem is a Specialist in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital and the Town Square branch of Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS  from Mansoura University in  Egypt and his Master's degree in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery (MSc) from Benha University also in Egypt. He is a member of the AO TRAUMA Gulf Cooperation Council, the AO SPINE Gulf Cooperation Council and the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association (EOA).

In the initial days of his career, Dr. Ghanem was first an Orthopaedic, Trauma and Spine Surgery Registrar and then an Orthopaedic, Trauma and Spine Surgery Specialist at Al-Mahalla Al-Kobra General Hospital, Ministry of Health in Egypt. He also served as an Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery Specialist at Badr Specialized Hospital, Egypt just before relocating to the UAE. For the last couple of years, he’s been in charge of the Orthopaedic and Spine Emergency Department at Medcare Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital, Dubai, UAE. Currently, he is an Orthopaedic Surgery Specialist at Medcare Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital and Medcare Medical Centre, Dubai.

Dr. Ghanem’s repository of skills includes the management of orthopaedic trauma and sports Injuries, various spine  degenerative diseases  including low back pain and neck pain, knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgeries, simple and complex fractures, ligament tears and muscle injuries. He is proficient in treating degenerative conditions like Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis. He also performs minor orthopaedic and surgical procedures and reduction of closed fractures and joint dislocations.

During his leisure hours, Dr. Ghanem likes to unwind by listening to music, working out and being with friends. He also likes group activities and travelling. He speaks Arabic and English.
