Dr. Mohamed El Naggar

Dr. Mohamed El Naggar is a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBCh and MSc in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery from Tanta University, Egypt. Further, he is certified by the Egyptian Board of Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association (EOA), the Egyptian Arthroscopy Association (EGAA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS).

Dr. El Naggar began his career in Egypt as an Orthopaedic Surgery Resident and later worked as a Specialist at multiple tertiary trauma hospitals, including Kafr El Zayat General Hospital, El Menshawy General Hospital, Al Mokattam Insurance Hospital and Al Sahel Teaching Hospital. Subsequently, he became an Orthopaedic Surgery Consultant and Head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Marsa Alam City Medical Centre in Egypt. He later moved to Mediclinic Middle East in Abu Dhabi as an Orthopaedic Surgeon Specialist. He also served in a similar capacity at the American Hospital, Dubai before joining Medcare.

Dr El Naggar’s expertise covers recent conservative and surgical management of adults' and paediatric upper and lower limb fractures and dislocations, and all sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and ankle, such as ACL injuries, meniscus injuries, Achilles injuries, rotator cuff injuries, and adductor and hamstring strains. He also performs knee arthroscopic surgery, including ACL and meniscus injuries, conservative and surgical treatment of joints, osteoarthritis, and administers intra-articular and local injections like PRP, Hyaluronic acid, BMAC and steroids. He is proficient in treating Tennis and golfer’s elbow, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, Trigger finger, plantar fasciitis, impingement syndrome of the shoulder or hip, frozen shoulder and trigger points. He believes in the conservative treatment of neck pain and lower back pain, and performs conservative and surgical treatment of foot conditions like flat foot and hallux valgus and recent treatment of osteoporosis.

Dr. El Naggar has participated in multiple national and international Orthopaedic Surgery and sports-related injuries conferences and workshops in Europe & the Middle East. He speaks Arabic and English.
