Dr. Ghada Alkhatib

Dr. Ghada Alkhatib is a Specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Al Zahia branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She is an MBBS from the Beirut Arab University and a Post Graduate with Specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the  Beirut Arab University, affiliated with Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center in Lebanon. She is a member of the Lebanese Syndicate of Physicians and the Saudi Committee of Health Facilities and Specialties.

Dr. Alkhatib commenced her career working in Beirut with Medecins Sans Frontier (Doctors without Borders) after which she started practising at her private clinic followed by a stint at Raee Hospital in Saida, Lebanon, managing both low and high-risk pregnancies. Subsequently, she relocated to Saudi Arabia and joined Dr. Sulaiman Habib Hospital in Riyadh as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Initially, she managed pregnancy follow-up and gynaecological cases in the OPD and normal deliveries and miscarriages in the IPD at Medecins Sans Frontier. Later, working at her private clinic, Dr. Alkhatib garnered rich experience in managing all types of deliveries ranging from high-risk pregnancies involving diabetes, hypertension and cardiac diseases to all normal deliveries including Caesarean section, second-stage Caesarean section and instrument deliveries. She is an expert in managing ectopic pregnancies,  dysmenorrhea, irregular uterine bleeding, infertility, medical disorders in pregnancy, postpartum haemorrhage, polycystic ovaries, missed miscarriages,  endometritis -cervicitis and endometrial hyperplasia. She is proficient in both medical and surgical treatment of all types of gynaecological cases and has managed sexually transmitted diseases and vaginal infections. She is familiar with all methods of contraception and practises non-surgical aesthetic gynaecology as well. 

Dr. Alkhatib likes to keep fit by playing all types of sports. She speaks Arabic and English.
