Dr. Dina Shaban Mohammed

Dr. Dina Shaban Mohammed is a  Specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Sharjah branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She obtained her MBBS  and MSc in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Zagazig University in Egypt. She further acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Obstetrics Ultrasound from Sharjah University. She is a member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate.

Dr.Dina served in various MOH Hospitals as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Egypt. At this juncture, she managed low and high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, gynaecological diseases, post-partum period,  contraception and different vaginal infections. She then joined the fetal medicine unit, performing early scan growth scans, doppler and basic anomaly scans. She subsequently moved to the UAE, working for many years in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Al Qassimi Women’s & Children’s Hospital (AQWCH), Sharjah.

Dr. Mohammed is a skilled Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, having managed a gamut of high-risk pregnancies of patients with diabetes, hypertension and cardiac diseases. Besides carrying out normal deliveries, Caesarean section including end-stage Caesarean section, and ectopic pregnancies. She is proficient in both medical and surgical treatment of irregular uterine bleeding, infertility, miscarriage, endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial cervicitis and managing polycystic ovaries. She performs hysteroscopy and basic laparoscopy and is familiar with all methods of contraception, and doing obstetric and Doppler scans.  

During her leisure hours, Dr.Dina loves reading a good book as well as socializing with family and friends. She speaks Arabic, English and a smattering of Urdu.
