Dr. Sandip Sonara

Dr. Sandip Sonara is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Medcare Women & Children Hospital with focused expertise in Endometriosis and Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgery. He completed his MBBS from Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad, Gujarat, and his MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, India. He holds a Fellowship in Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgery (F.A.L.S.) and is recognized as India's first SRC-accredited surgeon in Endometriosis Care, holding accreditation as a Master Surgeon in Multidisciplinary Endometriosis Care from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), USA. 

With over 13 years of experience in endometriosis management and gynaecological laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Sonara previously served as Head of the Department of Gynaecology and Endometriosis Care at Parikh Hospital, Ahmedabad. He was instrumental in establishing one of Gujarat's first multidisciplinary endometriosis care clinics and is recognized for his expertise in complex excision surgeries, consistently delivering strong surgical and fertility outcomes. 

Dr. Sandip manages OPD services across general gynaecology and endometriosis care. His scope of practice includes advanced gynaecological ultrasound, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, complex endometriosis surgeries, fertility-enhancing interventions, and gynaecological oncological surgeries. He routinely performs advanced procedures including paraaortic lymph node dissection, a key step in gynaecological oncology surgery. He has contributed to the documentation and publication of rare and complex endometriosis cases in peer-reviewed literature and serves as a faculty member and trainer in laparoscopic surgery, mentoring gynaecologists at national and international levels.
