Dr. Nermeen Kamal Mohamed Emam

Dr. Nermeen Kamal Mohamed Emam is an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialist at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University and her Master's degree in Ob/Gyn from Egypt. She also holds an IVF Diploma from Birmingham City University, UK. Additionally, she is a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, UK. 

Dr. Emam has extensive experience across diverse healthcare systems, including the UK(NHS), UAE, Egypt, and KSA. She began her medical career as a medical intern at Kasr Al Ainy University Hospital in Cairo, Egypt and later joined the Ministry of Health, Egypt, as an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Physician. She then moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to join Ohud Hospital as an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialist. She also worked as a Specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sheikh Zayed Specialised Hospital in Egypt and at the MMCH Hospital, KSA. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE, where she worked at Prime Hospital, Dubai.  She also worked briefly as a Specialist Grade Doctor, Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Ipswich Hospital, NHS, UK.

With over two decades of experience as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dr. Emam manages both low- and high-risk pregnancies, performing normal and operative deliveries, including complex caesarean sections, and effectively handling obstetric emergencies. She manages a broad spectrum of gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, uterine fibroids, STDs, postmenopausal bleeding and menstrual disorders, with advanced skills in hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and gynaecological surgeries and ultrasound. She treats pelvic and vaginal infections, pelvic organ prolapse, chronic pelvic pain, oligohydramnios and polyhydramnios. She proficiently manages contraception and family planning, routine antenatal care, foetal growth monitoring and IUGR, along with postpartum complications and care.
