Dr. Maria Penalver Gaspar

Dr. Maria Penalver Gaspar is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the JBr branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain and her MD, specialising in Gynaecology and Obstetrics from Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia, Spain. She also has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from Universidad Camilo Jose Cela, Madrid and another one in Advanced Aesthetic Laser Techniques from CEU Cardenal Herrera University, Valencia, both in Spain.

Dr. Gaspar started her career in Spain. She worked as an Aesthetic Gynaecologist at Clinica Medico Dental Dr Olmos Clinic and then as a Fertility Specialist at UR IMED (UR International Group). She also worked as a Specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Clinica Fivasa and Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE, where she first joined NMC Healthcare, Dubai as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before moving to Medcare.

She is well-versed in hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and open surgery. Her expertise includes managing high-risk pregnancies, performing gynaecological surgeries, and treating menstrual and menopausal disorders. She has successfully treated patients with problems of infertility, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, uterine polyps and endometrial hyperplasia. She is proficient in screening for cervical cancer, performing colposcopy and vulvovaginal rejuvenation. Her special interest includes aesthetics and obstetrics.
