Dr. Hema Diwakar

Dr. Hema Diwakar is a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India, and then a post graduate Diploma in Gynaecology & Obstetrics (DGO) from JJM Medical College, Davangere, India. She is a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB), New Delhi, India.

Dr. Diwakar has worked at reputed institutions in India and the UAE and is known for her patient-centred approach. She began her career in Bangalore at Yogananda Multi-speciality Hospital as a Medical Specialist, and later worked in a similar role at Cloud Nine, Motherhood Hospital and Astra Hospitals. She also worked as a Consultant at St. Philomena’s Hospital, Bangalore and as an Assistant Professor at Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, also in Bangalore, India. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE to join Medeor 24x7 Hospital, Dubai as a Medical Specialist. She later worked at Aster Al Nahda Medical Centre and Burjeel Hospital as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr. Diwakar has successfully managed thousands of normal and complicated pregnancies, including women with medical disorders during pregnancy, and is skilled in both vaginal and Caesarean deliveries. She has treated pregnant patients with conditions like fibroids, ovarian cysts, pre-term labour and recurrent miscarriages. She manages pregnancies that are IVF, Twins, and ectopic. She proficiently treats pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, colposcopy, abnormal PAP smear, assists vaginal birth after previous Caesarean section, and performs LEEP, hysteroscopic surgeries and cervical cerclage. She advises her patients on infertility, pre-pregnancy care, contraception, menopause, post-menopausal disorders and addresses issues of adolescent gynaecology.

She speaks several languages like English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
