Dr. Aya Haj Bakri

Dr. Aya Haj Bakri is a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Medcare Medical Centre. She did her MBBS from Tishreen University in Syria followed by a Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Germany. She holds a Diploma in Cosmetic Gynaecology from the International Society of Aesthetic Genital Surgery and Sexology (ISAGSS), a Diploma in Colposcopy from AGK in Reutlingen, Germany and a Diploma in Basic Laparoscopy (MIC I) from Kiel in Germany. She has a certificate in Maternal & Foetal Doppler Sonography from Jena University, one in Basic Psychosomatic Care from Hannover and another one in Botulinum Toxin from GSW Academy in Germany. She also did a course in Mammary Sonography DEGUM from Magdeburg, a Basic Foetal Ultrasound DEGUM Course from Leipzig, Germany.

Dr. Bakri began her career as a Medical Doctor in Internal Medicine at HGZ Bad Bevensen in Germany and then became a Medical Doctor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Städtisches Klinikum Wolfenbüttel, also in Germany. Before relocating to the UAE, she worked as a Consultant at Klinikum Wolfenbüttel in Oberarzt, Germany.                                                                                          

Dr. Bakri’s expertise encompasses normal delivery, vacuum-assisted delivery, water-assisted delivery, Caesarean section, high-risk pregnancy, minimal laparoscopy/MIG-1, foetal Doppler, cosmetic gynecology, and breast biopsies. She manages recurrent miscarriages, irregular menstruation, PCOS, endometriosis, female infection, abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility and post-menopausal issues. She uses the most advanced treatments that include Fillers, Botox, Laser, PRP, cervix colposcopy, basic laparoscopy, ultrasound and Doppler monitoring, contraception methods and breast cancer screening.

During her spare time, she enjoys reading, swimming and taking morning walks. She speaks Arabic, English and German.
