Dr. Aliaa Mohamad Ali Maaty

Dr. Aliaa Mohamad Ali Maaty is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS and a Master's degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Faculty of Medicine of Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. In addition, she did her PhD (doctorate) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the same university.

Dr. Maaty has almost two decades of experience across Egypt and the UAE. She served as an Associate Professor and an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant in Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. After relocating to the UAE, she worked as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah. 

Dr. Maaty’s clinical and academic expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology includes pre-conception counselling, managing both low and high-risk pregnancies and performing normal vaginal deliveries, assisted vaginal deliveries, vaginal birth after a Caesarean section (VBAC) and breech deliveries. She treats premenopausal and postmenopausal disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual irregularities, pelvic floor disorders, and vaginal infections. She does postpartum care, contraceptive counselling, pre-natal counselling, pre-marital counselling, infertility workup, advanced gynaecological surgeries, and regular screening tests and checkups.

Dr. Maaty’s recent accomplishments have included membership of the Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) team at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital (Demerdash), in addition to the publication of scientific papers in international journals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and kids, travelling, shopping and learning new food recipes. She speaks Arabic and English.
