Dr. Taleb Rooeintan

Dr. Taleb Rooeintan is a Consultant in Neurology at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He commenced his medical education at Hungarian Board of Neurology issued by Health care higher education and further training committee and Semmelweis University in Budapest- Hungary. He also has a Norwegian authorisation and license as a Neurology Specialist. He is a member of the Emirates Neurology Society (ENS) and the world movement chapter of the Emirati League against Epilepsy (ELAE). 

Dr. Rooeintan has spent more than two decades in this field, having worked in Iran and the UAE. He is an expert in lumbar puncture, neuro-electrophysiology, and Botox injections for various neurological indications. Initially, he worked at the Al Qassemi Hospital and the Riaz Medical Centre in the UAE, and later became a Consultant in Neurology at the Burjeel Specialty Hospital.

Dr. Rooeintan’s clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic neurological disorders, Botox injections in chronic migraine, Blepharospasm, Hemifacial spasm and Neuro-electrophysiology, including EEG, NCS, EMG, and Evoked Potential( VEP, ABR, SSEP). He treats all types of headaches like migraines, tension-related, cluster and secondary headaches. He is proficient in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy, polyneuropathy, cerebrovascular disorders, demyelinating disorders of the brain and spinal cords, such as MS, NMOSD, MOGAD, ADEM, encephalopathies, neuro infections, cervical and low back pain, ataxia, dizziness, memory disorders and dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, FTD, LBD, and vascular dementia. He also treats mood disorders, depression, sleep disorders, neuralgia, Herpes Zoster, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, Carpal Tunnel syndrome and other peripheral nerve disorders.
