Dr. Vishal Gurunath Pawar

Dr. Vishal Gurunath Pawar is a Neurologist in the Department of Neurology at the Jumeirah and Discovery Garden branches of Medcare Medical Centre. After completing his MBBS from Dr Vaishampayan Memorial Govt Medical College in Solapur, he acquired a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Medicine from Sanjeevan Hospital in Pune and one in Neurology from Care Hospital in Hyderabad, all in India. He subsequently completed his Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) from the Royal College of Physicians, UK.
He further boosted his qualifications with several relevant online certifications like the International Vestibular Diploma, Fellow of the European Board of Neurology (FEBN), Assessment and Management of Vestibular Disorders (India) and Vestibular Assessment and Management (The American Institute of Balance).
In the course of his career, Dr. Pawar practised as a Neuro Physician, an Associate Consultant in Neurology and a Neurologist at various facilities and hospitals throughout India before relocating to the UAE. He worked with the Care Hospital and Srinidhi Hospital in Telangana and then with the Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, in Pune, both in India. In the UAE, he practised at Aster DM Healthcare for a few years before joining Medcare Medical Centre.
Patients have complete faith in Dr. Pawar’s skills in the treatment of acute spinal cord injuries, Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), ataxia, Bell's palsy, brain tumours, cerebral aneurysm, epilepsy, seizures and traumatic brain injuries. He is proficient in successfully managing conditions like chronic pain, vertigo and balance disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, strokes, neck pain, low back pain, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Parkinson's disease, fibromyalgia, myasthenia gravis, nerve and muscle disorder, trigeminal neuralgia, tremors and headache disorders.
During his leisure hours, Dr. Pawar plays cricket and tennis and likes to de-stress with yoga and meditation. He also likes spending time with family and friends. He speaks English, Hindi, Marathi and Telugu.
