Dr. Iyad Husseini

Dr. Iyad Husseini is a Specialist Neurologist at Medcare Medical Centre. He received his medical degree from the University of Cluj, Romania, after which he completed his inter-university diploma in Neurology from the University of Bordeaux in France. Subsequently, he obtained a University Diploma in Clinical Neurophysiology from the University of Paris and one in Sleep Disorders from the University of Bordeaux. Being passionate about Neurophysiology, he worked towards a Master’s degree in Clinical Neurophysiology from the University of Barcelona. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), the International Headache Society (HIS), UK and the Emirati League Against Epilepsy (ELAE).

Dr. Husseini has spent an illustrious three decades in clinical practice across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE. In KSA, he gained invaluable experience in Neurophysiology working at various hospitals. After relocating to the UAE, he joined Tawam Hospital, a tertiary care and teaching hospital in Al Ain, and then practised at Alnoor Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Later, he joined United Medical Center and Mediclinic, both in Dubai, as a Specialist Neurologist.

Dr. Husseini’s expertise in Neurophysiology includes procedures such as EEG. NCS/ EMG. EP, electroencephalography, nerve conduction studies, electromyography and evoked potentials. He is proficient in treating headaches, migraines, dizziness, epilepsy, neck and back pain, multiple sclerosis, spinal disc herniation and Carpal Tunnel syndrome. He also treats sciatica, peripheral and diabetic neuropathy and Bell's Palsy.

He enjoys travelling and keeps fit by regularly going to the Gym. He speaks Arabic, English, French and Spanish.
