Dr. Iyad Khoudeir

Dr. Iyad Khoudeir has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. Born in Aleppo, Syria, he graduated with an M.D. from the University of Cluj, Romania, and obtained his qualification in Neurology from the University of Bordeaux, France. He further pursued two University Diplomas—one in Clinical Neurophysiology from Paris and another in Sleep Disorders from Bordeaux. Driven by his passion for Neurophysiology, he went on to earn a Master degree in Clinical Neurophysiology from the University of Barcelona, Spain, training alongside renowned experts in Bordeaux and Barcelona.

He has been practicing in the UAE since 2006, initially serving at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain for seven years, followed by roles at Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, and Mediclinic Dubai for eight years, before joining Medcare Medical Centre.

His expertise covers a wide range of neurological and neurophysiological conditions, with proficiency in EEG, NCS, EMG, and Evoked Potentials. Dr. Iyad focuses on treating patients with headaches, migraines, dizziness, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal disc herniation with radiculopathies, entrapment neuropathies, diabetic and peripheral neuropathy, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome and Bell’s palsy.

He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), the International Headache Society, and the Emirati League Against Epilepsy (ELAE).

Outside of his medical profession, Dr. Iyad enjoys traveling and staying active through regular fitness routines. He is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish.
