Dr. Elizabeth Mary Thomas

Dr. Elizabeth Mary Thomas is an Internal Medicine Specialist at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (MOSC) Medical College, Kerala, India and her MD in Internal Medicine from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kerala, India.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Thomas has worked in India and the UAE. She began her career with the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, managing OP, IP, ICU, research and medical education. Subsequently, she moved to the UAE to join Aster Clinics as an Internal Medicine Specialist. 

Dr. Thomas has extensive experience in outpatient management research and medical education and brings vast knowledge from both the government and corporate sectors. She has a special interest in rheumatology, infectious diseases, nephrology, and lifestyle diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Patient welfare is her top priority, along with a keen interest in academics. She treats a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including hyperlipidaemia, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperuricemia, vitamin D deficiency, anaemia, hypothyroidism as well as acute respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases. 

She is detail-oriented and believes in communicating the treatment plan to patients and their families. She is well-versed in ER procedures and hospital code protocols and proficient in handling complex medical equipment and operating contemporary patient data software.

She speaks English and Malayalam.
