Dr. Paramjit Luthra

Dr Paramjit Luthra is a well reputed and one of the best gynaecologists practising in Dubai. She is a Senior Consultant and the Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology team at Medcare Women & Children Hospital, Dubai with many years of clinical and teaching experience. She holds a full registration with General medical council UK, Indian medical council, DHA (Dubai Health Authority) and DHCC (Dubai Health Care City)

After completion of her MBBS from Delhi University India, she went on to pursue her post graduate training at some of the prestigious teaching hospitals in UK and acquired considerable experience in her chosen specialty. She has also worked in the UK as a full time fertility consultant with an HFEA license. She was awarded her MRCOG in 1980 and her FRCOG in 1993.

Dr. Luthra has been working in the UAE since well over 35 years and before joining the Medcare group, she has enjoyed the positions of Head of department in some of the busy maternity units such as Al Qassimi Hospital, Ministry of Health, Sharjah and Welcare hospital Dubai. She has extensive clinical experience in dealing with most aspects of women’s health issues.

Her spectrum of expertise includes:

• Management of high risk pregnancies, complicated by varied medical disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, endocrine dysfunction, autoimmune disorders and multiple pregnancies.
• Management of difficult operative deliveries, complicated by previous surgical interventions and/or associated with risks of haemorrhage
• Management of recurrent miscarriages and other associated conditions
• Surgical management of advanced gynaecological pathologies such as myomectomy, hysterectomy, excision of complex tubo-ovarian masses, pelvic adhesiolysis and pelvic floor repair
• Management of reproductive health concerns such as:
•  Infertility and endocrine disorders such as PCOS
•  Adolescent gynaecology
•  Post-menopausal health
• Contraceptive counselling
• Healthcare awareness and counselling for sexually acquired infections

On a personal front she can speak English, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic. She enjoys travelling to exotic places and is an avid reader in her spare time
