Dr. Lorena Iaut

Dr. Lorena Iaut is a highly regarded Specialist in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Motor City and Meadows branches of Medcare Medical Centre.  She obtained her MBBS and then her MD (Ob & Gyn) from the well-known Carol Davila University in Bucharest. Her passion for learning and ambition to meet the highest standards of knowledge and competence in her field led her to pursue various specializations in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a subspecialty in Ob&Gyn Ultrasound from the Carol Davila University Bucharest. She also acquired a subspecialty in Maternal Foetal Medicine from the Ministry of Health, Romania. She is a member of the European Board  & College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISOUG), the Medicina Fetal, Barcelona and the Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology(SOGR).

Dr. Iaut commenced her illustrious career as a Specialist Ob-Gyn with Medicover, a leading international healthcare hospital in South East Europe, spending more than a decade accumulating extensive clinical experience, and managing various women’s health conditions and pregnancies. She then relocated to the UAE where she worked as a Specialist Ob-Gyn with Zulekha Hospital, then at Dr Nicolas & Asp and Mediclinic.

Dr. Iaut is interested in the prevention of cervical and breast cancer. She is an expert in open surgeries including normal and instrumental deliveries, foetal imaging and early anomaly scan, imaging of higher-order pregnancies and foetal echocardiography. She has proficiently handled vaginal delivery, VBAC, water birth and Caesarean sections besides managing antenatal care, recurrent miscarriages, infertility, endocrine disorders, menopause, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology and contraception. She also treats lower genital tract conditions like cervix dysplasia, endocrinological disorders like PCOD and abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Iaut actively participates in ongoing medical education to stay updated with the latest advancements, research, and best practices in her specialty. She is skilled in medical complications of pregnancies and uses techniques like Colposcopy, LLETZ, Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy to treat her patients.

During her leisure hours, she likes to unwind with a good book or travel to different places. She speaks both English and Romanian fluently.
