Dr. Nabilah Al Mashharawi

Dr. Nabilah Al Mashharawi is a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Medcare Women & Children Hospital. She completed her MBBS from the Arab board in Jordan followed by an MD from the Algiers Medical Science University in Algiers. She is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) with a specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a member of the Obstetric Forum, Foetal Medicine Team, and High-Risk Pregnancy Assessment Unit Part of the laparoscopy team and Audit and Risk Management team.

During the early years of her career, Dr. Mashharawi did an Internship and Residency and later was a Senior House Officer under the Dubai Health Authority. She received the "Best Doctor of the Month" award several times and has been an active member of the teaching team at Latifa Hospital. She practised as a Consultant Doctor in OBS & GYNE under the MOH. She worked as a Specialist Registrar at Alwasl Hospital and then as a Senior Specialist Registrar before joining Medcare Women & Children Hospital.

Dr. Mashharawi has expertise in foetal to maternal surveillance, management of high-risk pregnancy, normal and instrumental vaginal delivery, Caesarean section, management of diseases of the female genital tract, ultrasound and management of abnormal uterine bleeding. She is proficient in the treatment of pre-eclampsia, abruptio placentae, placenta previa, ectopic pregnancy, uterine fibroid, postpartum haemorrhage, cord prolapse, shoulder dystocia, urinary tract infection, ovarian cyst/torsion and dysmenorrhea. She has successfully managed post-operative complications, and puberty-related conditions and done initial investigation and treatment of infertility. Her dedication to her chosen field and commitment to patient care make her a respected healthcare professional.

During her leisure hours, Dr. Mashharawi loves doing research, reading and travelling the world. She speaks English and Urdu.
