Dr. Mahesh Krishna Ram

Dr. Mahesh Krishna Ram is an accomplished General and Minimal Access Laparoscopic Surgeon at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS at MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, and then his Master of Surgery (MS) at MR Medical College, Gulbarga, both affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Later, he completed his Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) and a Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery (DMAS). He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), Edinburgh.  

With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Ram is known for his precision in laparoscopic and laser-assisted surgeries, offering minimally invasive procedures that lead to faster recovery, less pain, and excellent patient outcomes. During the initial years of his career, he served as an Assistant Professor and General Surgeon at Azeezia Medical College and Travancore Medical College, both prestigious medical colleges in Kerala, India. Later, he also served as Head of Surgery, Trauma, and Emergency Medicine. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE to join NMC Speciality Hospital and then NMC Royal Hospital as a General Surgeon. He also worked briefly with Swift Day Surgical Centre, Gargash Hospital, Zulekha Hospital, Medeor 24x7 Hospital, Jupiter Speciality Medical Centre and Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery as a Specialist in General Surgery. His international training under pioneers in Switzerland and Italy has made him an expert in VAAFT, EPSIT, and advanced thyroid interventions. 

Dr. Ram treats gallbladder diseases, all types of hernias (ventral, inguinal, umbilical, recurrent, diastasis), haemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, pilonidal sinus, varicose veins, breast lumps, thyroid & parathyroid disorders and peripheral venous disorders. He performs laparoscopic gallbladder and appendix surgery, advanced laparoscopic hernia repair (TEP, ventral, recurrent), laser-assisted colorectal surgeries, endoscopic surgeries, breast surgery, microdochectomy, abdominal emergencies and elective surgeries, trauma and general surgical conditions.
