Dr. Shamsheer Kote

Dr Shamsheer is a gastroenterologist with board certification from British Society of Gastroenterology. His specialist training in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine was on the prestigious South West London rotation, including St. George' s Hospital, Kingston and Brighton General Hospital.

Prior to Joining Mediclinic Middle East, he worked in the UK's NHS system for 16 years, six years of which as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician in the large 800-bed, Queen Elizabeth 2nd Hospital.

He has extensive experience in general Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He believes in delivering individualised care to his patients, placing them at the centre of the decision making process, with the freedom to express their opinions. He is an active proponent of patient education and patient self-management strategies, with limited usage of medications.

He undertakes extensive training and continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of knowledge in his field.

Dr. Shamsheer is a member of the British society of Gastroenterology, the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal Society of Medicine London and is a medical advisor to the National Association of Crohn' s and Colitis, UK. Paediatric endoscopy
