Dr. Hiba Yaseen

Dr. Hiba Yaseen is a Consultant in the Department of Family Medicine at Medcare Medical Centre- Al Barsha. She obtained her MBBS from the Gulf Medical University in Ajman and went on the complete her internship at Oxford University Hospital and Newcastle Upon Tyne University Hospital in the UK. She received her Certificate of Completion of Training in Family Medicine after her training at Newcastle Upon Tyne. She further became a Certified Family Medicine Trainer after she obtained a PG Certificate in Clinical Practice, Management and Education. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), UK

After graduation, Dr. Yaseen worked and trained as a newly qualified doctor at Oxford University Hospital as well as Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK. After completion of her Family Medicine training she worked in Manchester  in the field of Family Medicine. She became a trainer for family medicine trainees as well as a mentor for new family medicine consultants doing their fellowship programs. After more than a decade, she relocated to Dubai to join Medcare as a Consultant in Family Medicine. 

During her training, Dr. Yaseen garnered experience in various specialities including Internal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Gynaecology. She has treated metabolic conditions like hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and fatty liver disease. She has successfully treated common mental health problems including anxiety, depression and mood fluctuations. She routinely reviews patients who have chronic pains, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, acute problems and musculoskeletal disorders. She looks after the patient's health through health promotion and disease prevention strategies and pays attention to women’s and children’s health. She treats elderly patients and common problems related to ageing as well as deteriorating memory problems. 

She enjoys photography and is currently using her free time to learn how to play the ‘oud’, a stringed musical instrument. She speaks Arabic, English and French.
