Prof. Dr. Abdelraouf Fouad

Prof. Dr. Abdelraouf Fouad is a Specialist in Family Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine & Diabetes at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBCh at the Alazhar Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, then a PG diploma and an intensive course in Advanced Diabetes Management from the George Washington College, USA. Additionally, he holds a PG diploma in Modern Management of Asthma & Immunology from Notting Hill College, UK and an MSc in Diabetes from the USA. He also has a Doctorate in Internal Medicine from the USA. He holds the distinction of being a member and an International Examiner of the Royal College of General Physicians, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP), UK. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the European Association of Gastroenterology & Intestinal Motility Disorders.

Prof. Dr. Fouad’s experience spans clinical practice, academic leadership, and healthcare management. He has spent over two decades working across the globe, contributing significantly to the advancement of medical education and research at multiple international institutions. During the initial days of his career, he served as an Associate Teacher of General Medicine & Diabetes at Dubai Medical College, UAE. He spent some time as a Professor of Internal Medicine & Diabetes at Eton University in California, USA and as a Professor of General Medicine at Notting Hill College in Manchester, UK. After moving to the UAE, Prof. Dr. Fouad worked as a Specialist in Family Medicine at the Aster Medical Centre, then at the IKIGAI Medical Centre (Life Clinic) and Adam Vital Hospital LLC in a similar capacity. 

Prof. Dr. Fouad’s repertoire of skills includes comprehensive chronic disease management, advanced diagnostic assessments, infectious disease management, immune health support, preventive care and health education, personalised treatment planning and continuity of care. He proficiently treats diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, chronic gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine disorders, and kidney diseases. He believes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of adult medical conditions with a focus on personalised, evidence-based care, using modern tools tailored to each patient's medical profile.
