Dr. Yazan Koujan

Dr. Yazan Koujan is a General Practitioner at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS degree from Ibn Sina National College for Medical Studies in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Koujan began his professional career as an intern, garnering experience across several Saudi government hospitals, and then worked as a General Practitioner in Durrat Alkhozama Medical Centre at Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He then relocated to the UAE and worked as a General Practitioner and Medical Director at Arab Doctors Specialist Centre in Sharjah, in the UAE before joining Medcare.

Dr. Koujan’s expertise spans the diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, chronic diseases and minor procedures, including the stitching of minor cuts, wounds and preventive care and health promotion. He treats respiratory conditions like URTI, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, and asthma, ENT conditions like acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, acute sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, otitis externa, and otitis media, GI Conditions like gastroenteritis, GERD, IBS, constipation, non-surgical treatments for anal fissures and haemorrhoids, musculoskeletal conditions like low back pain, neck strains, diagnosing and managing chronic conditions like HTN, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, gout, wound care and suturing, abscess incision and drainage. He is driven by a strong desire for learning and professional growth, with a commitment to advancing clinical competency and contributing to the excellence of healthcare services.

During his spare time, he enjoys reading and gaming and keeps fit through weight-lifting and playing Football. He speaks Arabic and English.
