Dr. Kirthika Jeyaraman

Dr. Kirthika Jeyaraman is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. She obtained her MBBS from Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai, India and a Speciality Certificate Examination (SCE) in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the UK. She also has a dual Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Endocrinology & Diabetes and Internal Medicine from London, UK. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) London, the British Thyroid Association, the Society for Endocrinology, and Diabetes UK. 

Dr. Jeyaraman moved to the UK, soon after completing her MBBS and spent almost two decades studying and practising as a Consultant in London. She obtained dual training in Endocrinology & Diabetes and Internal Medicine at the North West London Hospitals including Imperial NHS Trust (Hammersmith, Charing Cross and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals) in London. Later, she became a Consultant Endocrinologist at West Middlesex Hospital, London followed by a stint at Changi General Hospital in Singapore. She worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist and led the Community Diabetes Service at Croydon University Hospitals in South London for many years before moving to the UAE. 

Dr. Jeyaraman manages a wide range of Endocrinology conditions including Type1 and Type2 Diabetes Mellitus, Gestational Diabetes, Insulin pump management, female hormone Issues including Infertility, PCOS and menopause, perinatal, thyroid and endocrine disorders, obesity and metabolic syndrome including resistant hypertension and hyperlipidaemia, thyroid and parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary related disorders including cancer, bone health, calcium disorders and osteoporosis and electrolyte disorders. She is an expert at initiating and dealing with Continuous Glucose Monitoring like Free Style Libre and DEXCOM and Structured Education like DAFNE and DESMOND. She has successfully treated rare forms of diabetes including diabetes that runs in families, pregnancy-related diabetes, antenatal period, obesity and its complications, resistant hypertension, familial hyperlipidaemia, fertility issues related to hormonal imbalance, and reproductive endocrinology conditions.
